Why Pediatric Chiropractic Care?
Why Pediatric Chiropractic:
Children engage themselves in various physical activities such as playing games indoors as well as outdoors. While small stumbles may not seem to cause extensive discomfort, they can cause shifts in the child’s musculoskeletal system that set the stage for joint restrictions affecting the child’s nervous system to function optimally.
What does a Pediatric Adjustment look like?
A pediatric adjustment consists of stretching or soft hold at the restriction to help increase tone of the muscle and improve joint mobility and stability. Chiropractic care can help improve the growth development and milestones of an infant through an adjustment of the nervous system. Typically, one does not hear the “pops or clicks” that you would in an adult patient. Pediatric adjustments are very gentle due to cartilage, bone, and the nervous system growing rapidly in the first 2 years of life.
